The traditional Moroccan souk — where you can buy everything — plus the smell of herbs and the best part of market day.
Today I was at the souk — the traditional Moroccan market where you can buy EVERYTHING.
The smell of these herbs. That is the part that stays with you.
The souk is not a tourist show. It is where daily life happens: food, spices, household goods, clothes, and a hundred small stalls that each have their own story. Walking through it is one of the fastest ways to understand Morocco — loud, colourful, and full of people who are happy to show you what they make and sell.
My favourite part is this: the moment you stop rushing, start tasting and smelling, and let the market set the pace.
We visit local markets on retreat weeks too — join us in November.
