The logbook
What is this site?
A living logbook of Lalla Surf, a surf house in Imsouane, Morocco. Each story is pinned to the day — and often the hour — it happened, written by the house or by surfers who stayed.
How do I find a particular story?
Use the archive: filter by year, season, chapter and language. On the home timeline you can filter by who told it and by season.
Can I book a stay here?
Yes. Browse our rooms on the rooms page, choose your dates, and send a booking request in a minute — our team confirms availability by email.
Is the site available in my language?
The site itself is in English, French, Czech, German and Spanish — use the language switcher in the header or footer. Stories and guides stay in the language they were written in.
Sharing a story
Who can share a story?
Anyone who surfed the bay with us. Go to Share your story, pin the date, add a main photo and a few words — in any language you like.
What photos can I upload?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF images up to 10 MB each — one main photo, up to ten more, and photos inside your text. Only share photos you took or have permission to use.
How do I format my story?
The editor supports headings, bold and italic, lists, quotes and links. Drop or paste photos straight into the text, add a caption under each, and drag or use the arrows to reorder.
How long until it’s published?
The house reads every submission. Most are reviewed within a few days; you’ll see it on the timeline once approved.
Can I edit or remove my story?
Yes. Write to us via the contact form with the story title and we’ll correct or remove it.
Privacy & cookies
What will be public?
Once approved: your name, Instagram handle (if you gave one), your text, date and photos. Contact messages are never public.
Do you track me?
No analytics, no ads, no third-party trackers. See the cookie policy for the few items we store, and change your choice anytime from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
How do I access or delete my data?
Send a request through the contact form (choose “Privacy request”). Details in the privacy policy.
Trouble
My upload fails.
Check the file is an image under 10 MB and your connection is stable, then try again. Very large phone photos can be exported smaller first.
The music won’t play.
Browsers block sound until you interact with the page — press play in the player at the bottom.
