Important: entry rules depend on your nationality and can change. This page is a general overview only. Always check with official sources — Morocco's consulate or embassy in your country, and your own government's travel advice — before you book.

Passport

Make sure your passport is valid for your whole stay, with a comfortable margin beyond your return date, and has blank pages for stamps. Many travellers aim for at least six months of validity to be safe.

Visa-free stays

Citizens of many countries — including many European countries, the UK and the USA — have commonly been able to visit Morocco as tourists without a visa for a limited period. Confirm the current rules and maximum length of stay for your passport.

If you need a visa

Some nationalities need a visa or an electronic travel authorisation in advance. Apply early through official channels only and avoid unofficial websites that charge extra fees.

On arrival

  • You may be asked for the address where you are staying — keep it handy.
  • Keep proof of onward or return travel accessible.
  • Check customs rules for items like drones before you pack them.

Minors

Children travelling without both parents may need extra documents. Check the requirements well in advance.
